WA Bouldering
Boulders worth the drive, scattered across the state. Granite on the coast, river-gorge sandstone up north. This is the running list: what I’ve done, what I’m working, what’s next. It’ll grow.

- Watermelon right — Good progress on the traverse-in — got the start working this time and nearly linked all the way to the start of watermelon proper. Key was the start: instead of pushing with the left leg extended, push into a drop knee so the left hand reaches closer to the next move than the extended leg allows. From there it's about keeping the feet active on the wall to take pressure off the hands. Also tried watermelon on its own a number of times — hit the first move every time, no problem, but couldn't stick the next right-hand gaston; got close a couple of times. Harry reckons my left was too high and I need to get above it more.
- The Wave — Stuck the throw, fell on top-out
- Cracker Jack — Found two of the crimps. Couldn't link them.
- The Wave — Linked start to throw twice
- The Wave — First look. Read the start wrong.
